Panthers win opening bowling match against Blue Lions

The Washington Blue Lions and Miami Trace Panthers boys bowling teams opened the 2016-17 season with a dual SCOL match Wednesday, Nov. 30.

Miami Trace won with a team score of 2,471 to 2,309 for Washington.

For the Panthers, Devan Harmon had scores of 177 and 235; Austin Pickens, 164 and 213; Jackson Perkins, 170 and 213; Andrew Amore, 234 and Jay Caudill, 193.

Miami Trace had a score of 1,931 after the individual games.

The Panthers had baker games of 155, 153 and 232 for the final total of 2,471.

For Washington, Brandon Underwood had scores of 225 and 207; Austin Knisley, 223 and 234; Chase Spangler, 153 and 149 and Steven Butcher, 194 and 182.

Washington had a team total of 1,809 after the individual games.

The Blue Lions had baker game scores of 135, 200 and 165 which gave them a final total of 2,309.

The Panthers and Blue Lions will be back in action Saturday at 9 a.m. at LeElla Lanes, taking on McClain.
