God can turn chaos into order

0

I have been in chaotic situations where people have been out of control. One of those times was at a basketball game that my grandpa and I attended. The fans of the losing team were so disturbed that they were throwing punches at the visitors and bricks at their cars.

My grandpa and I were able to escape without being punched or bricked as we sped out of the parking lot. Because of that out of control experience, my grandpa never attended another basketball game. He was never going to put himself in a position where that could happen again.

I have seen chaotic situations that there seems to be no way that they can be avoided. Those are the times when we are helpless in the circumstances that we find ourselves in. These times can be a result of choices we have made and other times they are situations that are totally beyond our control. It is a terrible thing to be in the middle of chaos, but it can’t exist where there is order.

The creation story in Genesis chapter one describes how God took a void and turned it into planet earth.

In Genesis 1:3-4; Then God said, “Let there be light”; and there was light. And God saw the light, and it was good; and God divided the light from the darkness.

The definition of darkness is the absence of light. Genesis clearly tells us that light was divinely created and that darkness was divided from it and darkness can only exist if there is no light. A person that receives knowledge is referred to as enlightened. The knowledge of the devastating result of chaos, is the deterrent for it. Most of the people that were throwing punches and bricks were not evil people. They were caught up in the emotion of the moment and the next day they were sorry for what they had done.

If you feel that your life is full of chaos and you are out of control, the God that turned a chaotic void into the very planet we live on, can easily put order in your life. You can be enlightened and say goodbye to the darkness and chaos that tries to control you. That is living a blessed life!

These are the issues we address at the Gathering Place every Wednesday evening at 7 and Sunday morning at 9:30 and 10:30. Come and join in with us.
