Looking unto Jesus in the new year

0

Hebrews 12:2, “Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.”

Christians ought to have hands ready to put to the plough, feet ready to carry the gospel, ears ready to hear the voice of God and eyes looking unto Jesus. When this year ends, look back and thank Him for all the many blessings He has given us. Then when we start out the New Year, look ahead and trust Him to take care of you for another year.

Looking around, serve Him, for He is worthy of our service. 2 Corinthians 5:9, “Wherefore we labour, that, whether present or absent, we may be accepted of him,” Then looking up, except Him; this could be the year of His return. Luke 21:28, “And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.”

Start the New Year out right by looking unto Jesus!
