Getting Ahead: A Product of Our Environment

0

There is an old saying that the apple does not fall far from the tree. It means that we will turn out to be very much like our parents and grandparents.

There have been contradicting thoughts to this idea that state if you take a child out of their parental environment and put them in a different one, they will become a product of their new environment. Both camps seem to have numerous examples to prove their opinion.

Then there are always the cases that we have all witnessed of good parents whose children turn out bad and bad parents whose children turn out good. Could it be that it is just a matter of chance or it there something else that forms the outcome of our life?

These and other life questions will be addressed Sunday morning as “The Gathering Place Family” meets in the Washington High School Gymnasium at 10 a.m. for our Pre-Service Connection where we enjoy coffee, juice and donuts. Our Worship Service and Children’s Church then begins at 10:30. Come at 7 p.m. and be part of our Wednesday night Bible Study and Children’s Ministry on the third floor above Trends at 120 West Court Street.
