The source of fellowship

0

I John 1:7, “But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His son cleanseth us from all sin.”

Fellowship is more than two fellows in a ship. The source of fellowship is the Lord Jesus Christ. He made it possible for us to have fellowship with God. The purpose of fellowship is that we might know more about God, love him, and understand his love for us.

The requirements of this fellowship are that we walk in His light, confess our sins, keep His commandments, and abide in Christ. Psalm 119:63, “I am a companion of all them that fear thee, and them that keep thy precepts.”
