‘He was the God Man’

0

John 1:1 & 14, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, [and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,] full of grace and truth.”

Why did God become a man? He became a man so He could know our sorrows, comfort our hearts and die for our sins. Matthew 8:27, “But then the men marveled, saying What manner of man is this, that even the winds and the sea obey him!”

Let me answer their question and tell you about this man. First of all, He was man. He thirsted, was hungry, became weary and wept, just like you and me. Secondly, He was more; He was God. He was not just a superstar, but indeed the Second Person of the Godhead. Thirdly, He is Lord. Philippians 2:11, “And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.” Then lastly, He is Saviour.

The Son of man is come to seek and to save those that are lost. More than just a man. He was the God Man!
