‘Don’t be cast down’

0

Psalms 42:5, “Why art thou cast down, O my soul? And why art thou disquieted in me? Hope thou in God: for I shall yet praise him for the help of his countenance.”

Sometimes we are up and sometimes we are down. Life is full of its ups and downs they say, and they say all right, for no one is on the same plane. However, one can work on his ups and downs until they can become hills and valleys rather than peaks and gorges. Are you going through a hard time? Are you cast down? I have good news for you found in Isaiah 40:31, “But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.” God has another promise found in Isaiah 40:4 & 5, “Every valley shall be exalted, and every mountain and hill shall be made low: and the crooked shall be made straight, and the rough places plain: And the glory of the Lord shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together: for the mouth of the Lord hath spoken it.”

Whatever it is that has you down, count your blessings, wait on the Lord and you will be able to see the light at the end of the tunnel. Then praise Him from whom all blessings flow.

I Peter 5:8, “Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour.” You better believe it!
