New Holland UMW hold meeting

The April 9 meeting of the New Holland United Methodist Women was held at the church.

Opening devotions were given by Samantha Dunham.

“Celebrate Gods Love For Us,” was followed by the “Seven Saying From The Cross,” closed with prayer.

President Ann Thompson presided for the meeting.

The secretary’s report was given by Jodi Kirkpatrick, and Pat Taylor gave the treasurer’s report.

All who help with the New Holland Lions Club dinners were given a thank you. Dates for the upcoming dinners will be announced.

Plans were discussed for the Mother-Daughter-Friend celebration to be held at the church on Wednesday, May 8 at 7:30 p.m.

The program will be presented by Kay Oughterson. Decorations by Betsy McFadden. Favors by Teri Kirkpatrick and Pat Overly. Invitations by Carmen White.

Hostesses: Ann Thompson, Peggy Kirkpatrick, Nikki Sheets, Jeanette Somers, Shelli Seymour and Pat Taylor.

Pat Taylor shared the April Prayer Calendar. The program for the day, “Christ for the world we sing,” was presented by Pat Taylor. She also presented the Historical Timeline of United Methodist Women 1856 to 2019 and the UMW legacy. All present were given copies of these.

Refreshments were served by Ann Thompson.
