Get control

Proverbs 16:32, “He that is slow to anger is better than the mighty; and he that ruleth his spirit than he that taketh a city.” Proverbs 25:28, “ He that hath no rule over his own spirit is like a city that is broken down, and without walls.”

We would do well this day to catch the message I am prescribing for you. That message is that we learn to live above the circumstances of life. That problem or person that would cause us to be angered or lose control of our emotions is not worth it. We are at the mercy of anyone who could make us angry.

There are many people, Christians as well, living at the end of their rope, ready to explode at any time because they have no control of their spirit. The help that we need can be found in Ephesians 5:19-21, “Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord; Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ; Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God.”

It is hard to get a person down when he is filled with the Spirit of God, singing unto the Lord and giving thanks for all things!
