The Washington Police Department responded to the following calls, according to reports:

JUNE 30

BURGLARY: Melissa Tackett reported that someone gained entry into her residence and removed prescription medication.

VIOLATION OF A PROTECTION ORDER: Officers were checking a complaint of a protection violation at a residence on Oakland Avenue. Both the defendant and protected person were located at the residence in violation of a valid protection order. The defendant, Paul E. Howard, was arrested for the offense.

THEFT: An employee of Wal-Mart reported that a male attempted to push a cart full of merchandise out of the store without paying for the items. Shawn P. Wildman was arrested for the offense.

THEFT: James Anderson reported that someone removed prescription medication from his residence.
