The Fayette County Sheriff’s Office responded to the following calls, according to reports:

JUNE 28

TRAFFIC CRASH: June Horst of Washington C.H., was southbound on Bogus Road and came to a stop at the intersection of US Route 22. Horst began to travel into the intersection and failed to observe a vehicle traveling eastbound on US 22 operated by Shirley Gutknecht. Gutknecht’s vehicle and Horst’s vehicle struck in the intersection. Minor injuries were reported. Both vehicle sustained moderate damage. Horst was cited for failure to yield.

DOMESTIC DISPUTE: A deputy on patrol near the I-71 northbound rest area located a female walking. The deputy later determined that the female and a male were in a domestic argument.The male was located at Flying J in Jeffersonville where it was determined that no violence or threats of violence had occurred.

FELONIOUS ASSAULT/CRIMINAL DAMAGING: Kip Watson of Leesburg, reported that while he was at a friend’s house on Shady Grove-Jamestown Road in Jeffersonville, he was assaulted several times by a known male and his vehicle was damaged.

MENACING: Sarah Crisp of Washington C.H. reported while she was at the Ranch of Opportunity on Palmer Road a known female and resident at the facility picked up a rock and threatened her.

FIRE: Richard R. Davidson of Washington C.H., reported a fire to his hay barn. The barn was deemed a total loss. The fire was extinguished by Bloomingburg-Paint-Marion Joint Fire Department.

ASSAULT: Regina K. Hughes of Bloomingburg, reported she was assaulted by a known person. Prosecution was declined at the time of the report.

DOMESTIC DISPUTE: Caleb A. Workman of Bloomingburg, reported he was involved in verbal dispute with a family member.

JUNE 27

CRIMINAL DAMAGING: Douglas Glass, Xenia, reported while his vehicle was parked on the lot of the Ranch of Opportunity a female resident threw a rock through his back window of his vehicle. Mr. Glass declined charges.

THEFT: Erica Golubich of Washington C.H. reported person(s) unknown entered her vehicle while parked at Tanger Outlets and removed items from inside.

CRIMINAL DAMAGING/ CRIMINAL TRESPASS: Jeffrey Conley, Washington C.H., reported an unknown person(s) came onto his property and tore out his concrete post at the rear of his property.

UNRULY/RUNAWAY: Vaugh George, Washington C.H., reported 3 female juveniles ran away from the Ranch of Opportunity at approximately 10:15 p.m. The juveniles were later located at the Washington C.H. Wal-Mart by the Washington C.H. Police Dept. The juveniles were transported back to the Ranch of Opportunity and turned over to the staff.

NEIGHBOR DISPUTE: Kathleen Desanto, Bloomingburg, reported her neighbor has been coming on to her property attempting to locate survey pins. Mrs. Desanto stated that the neighbor advised Mrs. Desanto her driveway is on his property. The deputy attempted contact with the neighbor, but was unsuccessful.

TRAFFIC CRASH: Karl Smith of Washington C.H. was traveling north S.R 753 and struck a deer in the roadway. The vehicle sustained minor damage in the crash. No injuries were reported.

TRAFFIC CRASH: Nikki Catee of Washington C.H. was attempting to back into the drive thru at Marathon on S.R 41 and struck the building. No injuries were reported . Catee was cited for improper backing.

JUNE 26

THEFT: An employee of Octa Retail LLC reported a known person collected rent for an apartment complex in Octa but had not submitted the money collected.

THEFT: Kevin Jones of Leesburg reported person(s) unknown entered his vehicle and removed property from inside.

CRIMINAL DAMAGING: Marcus Munro of Washington C.H. reported person(s) unknown threw rocks at his residence causing property damage.

BURGLARY/THEFT: Wilbur Young of Greenfield reported unknown person(s) entered onto his property and removed items from inside.

THEFT/ CRIMINAL TRESPASS: Kelly Ford of Washington C.H. reports person(s) unknown entered onto her property and removed items from her vehicle.

TRAFFIC CRASH: Person(s) unknown traveling north on US 62 and lost control of the vehicle. Person(s) unknown traveled off the right side of the roadway striking a road sign and departed the scene.

TRAFFIC CRASH: Karynn Streator of Dublin was traveling south on IR 71 and lost control of her vehicle. Streator traveled off the right side of the roadway striking a fence. Streator was transported by EMS for treatment of minor injuries. The vehicle sustained moderate damage in the crash and was towed from the scene. Streator was cited for failure to control.
