The Fayette County Health Department completed the following inspections, according to reports:

JUNE 8

Little Caesars Pizza, 105 N. Hinde St. Complaint inspection. Violations/comments: Observed sausage in the walk in cooler directly on floor, observed no date marking on opened bag of bacon, olives and pineapple in the small cooler under the pizza prep oven, also no date mark on an opened container of cheese in walk-in cooler, assistant manager threw away bacon because they did not know how long it had been opened, observed debris on the pizza oven rollers and on top of the oven, observed can opener to be not clean to sight or touch, observed ceiling tiles and vents that have a build up of dust and flour, observed utensils throughout store not clean to sight and touch and should be washed, rinsed and sanitized to make sure utensils are properly cleaned.

JULY 11

Flagway, Inc. #1, 1537 N. North St. Standard inspection. Violations/comments: Observed debris on French Vanila Cappuccino machine.

JULY 25

Dollar Tree #749, 140 Crossings Drive. Pre-licensing inspection. Violations/comments: New store is opening, class 1 classification, okay to operate.

JULY 26

Flagway, Inc. #2, 915 E. Market St. Standard inspection. Violations/comments: Observed debris on vents in small cooler.

Giovanni’s, 215 W. Court St. Standard and complaint inspection. Violations/comments: Customer called in and said they found hair in pizza, talked to manager about hair restraints and hair pulled back, no violations at time of inspection.

JULY 27

Midway Mini Mart, South Solon. Standard inspection. Violations/comments: Observed some tea syrup in bottom drawer leaking.

The Ranch of Opportunity, 1771 Old Palmer Road. Standard inspection. Violations/comments: No violations at time of inspection.

JULY 28

Starbucks Coffee, Jeffersonville. Pre-licensing inspection. Violations/comments: Equipment in place and working, three compartment sink and hand washing sink in place, cooler 40 degrees, freezers zero degrees, okay to operate.

JULY 30

BPM Joint Fire, Bloomingburg. Standard inspection. Violations/comments: Okay to operate.

AUG. 1

Dairy Queen, 205 W. Court St. Complaint inspection. Violations/comments: Customer received “bad blizzard,” called complaint into health department, talked to manager, machine is currently down and maintenance will look at it tomorrow and possible coolant issues, facility has back up ice cream dispenser that is working properly.

AUG. 6

Miami Trace Athletic Boosters, 6685 Boyd Road. Complaint inspection. Violations/comments: Okay to operate.

Home of $5 Deals, 6685 Boyd Road SE. Standard inspection. Violations/comments: Okay to operate.

Staunton United Methodist Church, 6685 Boyd Road. Standard inspection. Violations/comments: Okay to operate.

AUG. 10

Mulligan’s Tavern and Grille, Greenfield. Standard inspection. Violations/comments: Observed debris on hoods of fryer and over oven.

AUG. 11

Jeffersonville Pool Concessions, Jeffersonville. Standard inspection. Violations/comments: No violations at time of inspection.
