Police Incidents


According to reports, the Washington C.H. Police Department responded to the following calls:

Jan. 18

Domestic Violence: At 10:29 p.m., officers were dispatched to the 200 block of Circle Avenue in reference to a domestic. Upon arrival, contact was made with the victim who advised she was assaulted and had visible injuries. Contact was made with the offender, who was taken into custody and transported to jail.

Theft: At 5:04 p.m., officers made contact with the complainant, who advised that his Xbox One had been stolen. The complainant believes it to be the suspect who was at his residence earlier that day.

Theft: At 6:05 p.m., officers made contact with a taxi driver, who advised that he had given a subject a ride from the Columbus airport to Washington Court House. The taxi driver advised that when the subject got out of the vehicle, he only paid a small portion of the fee. The subject never returned to pay the remaining amount. A report was completed.

Burglary: At 7:52 p.m., officers were dispatched to the 1000 block of Clinton Avenue in reference to a burglary. Upon arrival, contact was made with the complainant, who advised while checking on the residence he noticed the back door glass was busted. Upon further investigation, it was learned items had been stolen. A report was taken.

Disorderly Conduct: At 10:20 p.m., officers were dispatched to the 1000 block of Grace Street in reference to the offender looking inside of people’s vehicles. Upon arrival, contact was made with the offender, who officers had previously dealt with multiple times during the shift. Due to the amount of calls on the offender and her intoxication level, the offender was arrested and transported to jail.

Jan. 17

Theft: At 10:29 a.m., officers were dispatched to the 500 block of South North Street in reference to a theft. The complainant advised that an unknown person had stolen his wallet from his vehicle. A report for theft was taken.
