MTHS to present fall play this weekend

The Miami Trace High School dramatic arts department is proud to present this year’s fall play, “Happily Ever Before” by Tracy Wells.

This is a family-friendly fairy tale with a twist, according to the play’s director at Miami Trace, Andrea Johnson. Just as Snow White, Briar Rose, and Cinderella achieve their “happily ever afters,” their villains team up with Rumpelstiltskin to go back in time to make sure the princesses don’t get their happy endings.

Will the princesses still find their Prince Charmings, or will the Evil Queen, Dark Fairy, and Wicked Stepmother finally get their way? The play is full of other fairy tale characters, from Little Red Riding Hood and the Big Bad Wolf, to the Three Little Pigs, the Three Bears, and the Seven Dwarves.

The three performances will be held in the Quali-Tee Design Performing Arts Center at Miami Trace High School on Friday, Nov. 11 at 7 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 12 at 5 p.m., and Sunday, Nov. 13 at 2 p.m.

The approximate run-time for the performances is 90 minutes. Tickets are $5 and are on sale now through Hometown Ticketing on the Miami Trace website at https://www.miamitrace.k12.oh.us/HometownTicketing.aspx.
