According to reports, the Washington C.H. Police Department responded to the following calls:

Sept. 27

Protection Order Violation: At 12:16 a.m., officers responded to the Bluestone Inn in reference to a protection order violation. After speaking with the complainant, he was referred to the city solicitor for the filing of charges.

Sept. 26

Possession of Drugs/Possession of Drug Paraphernalia: At 8:11 a.m. while on a traffic stop, a crystal substance suspected to be methamphetamine was located on the driver of the vehicle, Larry Parks, of MacArthur Way. Drug paraphernalia was also located. Charges are pending once the crystal substance is positively identified.

Identity Fraud: At 6:16 p.m., Diane Pickering, of Park Drive, reported that an unknown person opened a credit card account in her name without her permission.

Sept. 25

Disorderly Conduct by Intoxication: At 3:11 p.m., officers responded to United Dairy Farmers in reference to an intoxicated male near the kerosene pumps. Contact was made with Terry Grandstaff, of Taylor Lane. Grandstaff was unable to care for himself and was arrested.

Receiving Stolen Property/Theft: At 6:23 p.m., officers responded to Walmart in reference to a theft. Contact was made with James Varney, of Columbus, who attempted to leave the store without paying for over $600 worth of merchandise. While investigating the theft, officers discovered that the vehicle Varney arrived in had been reported stolen. Charges were filed.
