Police Incidents

According to reports, the Washington C.H. Police Department responded to the following calls:

Sept. 3

Theft: At 2:44 p.m., officers responded to the Bluestone Inn in reference to a disturbance. Upon arrival, contact was made with the victim, who advised the suspect had stolen his bicycle. A warrant for theft was clerked.

Theft: At 7:20 p.m., officers responded to Walmart in reference to a theft complaint. Upon arrival, contact was made with loss prevention and Heidi Hippen. Loss prevention advised that Hippen had exited the store without paying for merchandise. Hippen was issued a summons for theft.

Theft: At 9:39 p.m., officers made contact with the victim at the police department. The victim advised that James Sutton had stolen $500 out of her car. Officers located Sutton a short time later. Sutton advised officers he did not have any money and gave consent to search. Officers located a large amount of money on his person. Sutton was arrested and transported to jail.

Sept. 2

Disorderly Conduct: At 10:37 a.m., officers responded to the 100 block of West Market Street in reference to subjects arguing. Upon arrival, contact was made with Chad Eggleton and Haylee Kelly, who were subsequently issued citations for disorderly conduct.

Criminal Damaging: At 9:45 p.m., contact was made with the victim, who advised an unknown male kicked open the door to her apartment causing damage. The subject then departed the area. The victim was advised that a report would be completed.
