According to reports, the Washington C.H. Police Department responded to the following calls:

Aug. 26

Assault/Theft/Trespassing: At 6:23 a.m., a man reported that a known person entered his property without permission and assaulted him. The person then departed with his phone. Warrants were clerked for the male involved. Dustin Schwalbauch was arrested the following day on the charges.

Criminal Damaging: At 10:30 a.m., a city employee reported damage to a fence along Lowe’s Boulevard. The fence is owned by the City of Washington Court House.

Failure to Comply: At 7:35 p.m. while on patrol, an officer observed a male driving a bicycle on the wrong side of the road against the flow of traffic. The officer attempted to stop the male and he refused to stop after lights and siren were activated. The male was told several times to stop and failed to do so. Sabastian Williams was subsequently stopped and arrested for failing to comply with a lawful order.

Criminal Damaging: At 7:36 p.m., Ashley Getts reported that after she returned to her residence, she observed damage on the door frame.

OVI: At 11:49 p.m., officers responded to the area of Burke’s on Washington Square in reference to a male allegedly assaulting a female. The vehicle departed and officers stopped the vehicle a short distance down the road. The driver was found to be impaired and was arrested for OVI. The same male was involved in an earlier disturbance and was advised any further complaints would result in disorderly charges. John M. Stevens, of Circleville, was charged for OVI, OVI per se over .08, disorderly conduct, and driving under suspension.

Disorderly Conduct: At 11:59 p.m. while on patrol, an officer was alerted to a male yelling at a female in the area of Fayette Street and Temple Street. The male was heard by the officer a block away yelling. Chad Eggleton was stopped and cited for disorderly conduct.
