According to reports, the Washington C.H. Police Department responded to the following calls:

June 2

Theft: At 7:48 a.m., Kyler Oiler, of South Hinde Street, reported that an unknown person entered his vehicle and removed items without permission.

Forgery: At 9:17 a.m., First State Bank reported that they had received fraudulent checks. The investigation is ongoing at this time.

Theft: At 3:58 p.m., officers responded to Walmart in reference to a theft. Employees had observed a male exit the store earlier in the day without paying for merchandise, and then the same male, identified as Tyler Drake, came back in the store and again departed without paying for merchandise. Charges were filed.

Possession of Drug Paraphernalia/Possession of Drug Abuse Instruments: At 1:40 a.m. while checking a suspicious person behind Washington Square, officers made contact with Steven Laplante, of Lewis Street. Laplante admitted to being in possession of syringes commonly used to ingest drugs. Officers also located a small scale. Laplante was also in possession of suspected drugs that will be tested. Other charges are pending.
