The Fayette Co. Choral Society community choir will be presenting a concert of sacred choral music this Sunday, April 3 and would like to invite the community to join us for an hour of inspirational sacred music.

The concert, “Sing to the Lord,” will be held at Grace United Methodist Church on the corner of Market and North streets at 3 p.m. Doors will open to the public at 2:30 p.m.

As we continue on our journey through the Lenten season moving toward Holy Week and Easter, the choir’s hope is that this concert of spirituals, gospel songs, hymn arrangements, and new original settings of meaningful texts will provide inspiration to audience members and performers alike.

Joining the Choral Society for the final three songs of the concert will be the Chancel Choirs of Grace U.M and First Presbyterian Churches. Those songs will be accompanied by piano, brass quart and percussion and include arrangements of the traditional hymns “Lead on, O King Eternal” and “Crown Him with Many Crowns.”

Although there is no set admission price for this concert, free will donations will be accepted at the door to offset costs of the organization. Our hope is that the community will come find inspiration through the music presented on Sunday, April 3.
