Hospice of Fayette County golf outing a success

0

The annual Hospice of Fayette County Golf Outing was held Friday, May 20 at the Club at Quail Run with 12 teams participating this year.

Gusweiler GM Center and Shane McMahon State Farm Insurance sponsored a hole-in-one contest that included a chance to win a 2016 Chevy Malibu valued at $23,995. Although no one was able to hit a hole in one, they had a great time trying!

The first place team consisted of Bill Beatty, Steve Mowery, Gary Shaffer and Vern Haugen. Second place went to the team of Keith Brown, Dan Roberts, Art Reiber and Rick Bartruff. Third place went to David Kearney, Ray Deeks, Tom Neuder and Jason Mongold.

“We had a fantastic day and the weather held out for us. I want to thank all of the sponsors and teams for coming out and supporting us. We were able to raise more than $3,000 to go towards direct patient care, supplies and medicines. I cannot tell you how much that means to the patients and the families that we serve,” said Holly Cottrill, marketing and fundraising coordinator.

Hospice of Fayette County is a local nonprofit agency founded in 1987 that never bills a patient for care or supplies provided relating to their illness. For more information on care and services, please contact Hospice of Fayette County at 740-335-0149.
