The 2016 annual United Way Golf Outing was held May 6 at The Club at Quail Run.

The weather cooperated with a beautiful day and 11 teams enjoyed lunch catered by The Willow before teeing off in a shot gun start.

The United Way of Fayette County raised just over $5,200 during the event, and all of the money goes to help fund over 30 health and human service agencies right here in the county.

United Way extended a “thank you” to the event sponsors who helped make the outing a success. The sponsors were: Bumpus Trucking, First State Bank, Fayette Travel and Tourism, Marquee Construction, Quali Tee, Valero and Vermeer Heartland.

The first place team consisted of Joe Burbage, Mark Richards, Mark Heiny and Jim Heath.
