According to reports, the Washington C.H. Police Department responded to the following calls:

Aug. 8

Drug Paraphernalia: At 2:11 a.m. while on patrol, an officer conducted a traffic stop for vehicle defects. During the stop, the driver was discovered to be a suspended driver and in possession of drug paraphernalia. Brett A.M. Ayers was arrested and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and driving under suspension.

Aug. 7

Criminal Damaging: At 8:24 a.m., an employee of W&W dry cleaner, located at 122 E. East St., reported that after arriving at work she discovered that an unknown person caused damage to a door. A report was taken.

Theft: At 6:28 p.m., officers responded to Walmart, located at 1397 Leesburg Ave., in reference to a theft complaint. Officers arrived on scene and located the suspect. During the investigation, Scott L. Elliott was discovered to have an active warrant for his arrest. Elliott was arrested and was additionally charged with theft.

Aug. 6

Suspicious Person: At 6:47 a.m., officers responded to Mobil, located at 1104 Columbus Ave., in reference to a suspicious/intoxicated person. Officers arrived and spoke with a female. During the investigation, K-9 officer “Edo” was utilized on a vehicle the female was in for a free air sniff. Edo alerted on the vehicle and officers conducted a search of the vehicle. During a search of the vehicle, drug-related items were discovered. Kassey Reeves was arrested and charged with possession of drug abuse instruments and possession of drug paraphernalia.
