Spotlighting the heroes of our community

0

The United Way of Fayette County is continuing the tradition of recognizing outstanding residents of the county.

Every day in Fayette County, we witness our neighbors, co-workers, friends and families doing great things for our community. They may get a “thank you,” but most often they go unnoticed and unrecognized. Now is the time to recognize those among use who go above and beyond the call of duty in their work, community, school and everyday life.

The United Way of Fayette County is excited to host the annual Hometown Heroes Awards Breakfast to be held on Sept. 20. The organization is accepting nominations now through June 17.

Please take time to nominate someone you know to be a “hometown hero” by completing a nomination form and returning it to the United Way of Fayette County.

Nomination forms may be picked up at the United Way office or the Record-Herald office. Several nomination categories are listed on the form, including Workplace Hero, Youth Hero, Adult Hero, Education Hero, Local Government Hero and Lifetime Achievement Hero.

The completed forms can also be emailed to [email protected].
