The Washington Fire Department responded to the following:

JULY 10

ALARM ACTIVATION: 7:13 p.m., 214 N. Hinde St., First Presbyterian Church – FD received a call for an alarm activation from a first floor detector. FD arrived on scene and found the occupants were out of the building and had no smoke or fire showing. FD went into building, looked at the alarm panel which zone 11. FD walked through the whole building and didn’t find any problem in the building. An officer from the Washington C.H. Police Department got the alarm system to reset. FD advised the occupant call a repair person to have the system checked out.

JULY 8

ACCIDENT WITH INJURIES: 2:44 p.m., 16 mile marker US Route 35 W. – Received report of accident with injuries. On arrival FD found two vehicles involved with one injury. FD checked the scene for safety, made the vehicle safe and removed hazards from the roadway.

MEDICAL EMERGENCY: 10:20 p.m., Heritage Dr. – Received report from PD to respond to a medical emergency to force a door. On arrival FD forced the door to allow the squad and PD to enter.

JULY 7

VEHICLE ROLLOVER: 7:39 p.m., Washington Waterloo Road NE – Received station tone from the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office reporting a single vehicle rollover into a tree.FD found a single vehicle upright, on all four wheels with no smoke or fire at the time of arrival. FD established a safe work zone, confirmed there was no entrapment, assisted with patient packaging and loading and checked the vehicle for safety. FD provided traffic control until the scene was cleared.

JULY 6

ACCIDENT WITH INJURIES: 6:11 a.m., 1397 Leesburg Ave. – Received report of an accident with injuries. On arrival FD found a single vehicle with front end damage. The occupant stated she was a passenger and the driver had left the scene. Occupant stated they did not want treatment signed a refusal for the squad.

JULY 5

WHEAT STUBBLE FIRE: 1:49 p.m., Miami Trace Road SE – Provided a grass truck and tanker to Concord Green Fire Department for a wheat stubble fire.

TWO-VEHICLE ACCIDENT: 7:25 p.m., St. Rt. 753 SE – Received report of a two-vehicle accident with injuries. On arrival FD found two vehicles with front end damage. FD assisted the squad with patients and removed debris from the roadway.
