According to reports, the Washington C.H. Police Department responded to the following calls:

June 27

Possession of Drug Abuse Instruments: At 9:19 a.m. while on patrol, an officer located David Daniels, of Waverly. The office knew that Daniels had an active warrant for his arrest. While being arrested, Daniels admitted to being in possession of a syringe commonly used to inject drugs. Daniels was arrested on the warrant and also charged with possession of drug abuse instruments.

Assault: At 5:41 p.m., officers responded to an assault complaint at Eyman Park. During a family function, two family members fought after an argument. Both claimed that they were assaulted by the other. Daniel Ruth, of Grove Avenue, and Jason Henson, of John Street, were referred to the city solicitor for the filing of charges.

June 26

Criminal Trespass: At 3:54 a.m., officers were checking the sheds located at 331 W. Court St. in reference to Eric Clester sleeping in them. Clester had previously been banned from the property. Officers located Clester sleeping inside one of the sheds and he was arrested.

Theft: At 10:23 a.m., officers were dispatched to the 1000 block of South Hinde Street in reference to a theft. Contact was made with the victim, who advised unknown person(s) had stolen various tools from the toolbox in his truck. A report was taken.

Wanted Person: At 3:39 p.m., officers observed Chad Self near Clinton Electric and Plumbing. Officers were aware of Self having an outstanding warrant. The warrant was confirmed and Self was arrested and transported to the jail.

June 25

Wanted Person: At 1:29 p.m., officers were dispatched to the 700 block of East Temple Street in reference to a disturbance. While investigating the call, it was learned that Jewel Penwell had an outstanding bench warrant. Penwell was arrested and transported to the jail.

Theft: At 3:09 p.m., officers were dispatched to Village Court in reference to a theft. Contact was made with the complainant, who advised unknown person(s) had stolen a license plate off her deceased father’s vehicle. A report was completed.

Wanted Person: At 11:03 p.m., officers were advised by dispatch that Zachary Goodwin was in the lobby of the police department. Dispatch advised that Goodwin had an outstanding bench warrant. Goodwin was arrested on the warrant and transported to the jail.
