The Fayette County Sheriff’s Office recently located Carl R. Penwell, 33, a registered sex offender who was allegedly out of compliance with his required registration.

According to the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office, Penwell has been taken into custody and is currently incarcerated in the Fayette County Jail. He was reportedly apprehended at a home in the village of Bloomingburg on Friday afternoon

As previously reported, the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office was seeking Penwell’s whereabouts after deputies conducted an address verification for him at his last known address (2414 Bogus Road SE, Washington Court House). It was during this verification that deputies discovered Penwell was no longer residing at the home where he was registered.

Penwell is a registered Tier II sex offender and is required to register with law enforcement every 180 days for a period of 25 years.
