McKenzie Riley, of Washington C.H., was recently awarded a $1,000 scholarship from the Ohio Cattlemen’s Foundation.

Although Ohio’s cattle industry was unable to celebrate in person at the Ohio Cattlemen’s Association’s (OCA) Annual Meeting and Awards Banquet, the 2021 award winners, scholarship recipients and Top Hand recruiters are still being celebrated for their achievements.

Riley was one of 12 individuals to win the Cattlemen’s Gala Scholarship, which is made possible by the annual Cattlemen’s Gala Celebration and Fundraiser.

OCA will also celebrate the award winners and scholarship recipients via social media. The association’s annual business meeting has been postponed until further notice.

The Ohio Cattlemen’s Association is a non-profit membership organization that represents the business interests important to farm families that raise cattle. It serves as the voice and issues manager for all of Ohio’s beef cattle business including cattle breeders, producers and feeders. It is the beef industry’s grassroots policy development organization and is an affiliate of the National Cattlemen’s Beef Association. The Ohio Cattlemen’s Association strives to maintain profitability and growth of Ohio’s beef industry, while providing consumers with safe and wholesome beef.
