The annual Hike for Hospice will be held this Sunday at 3 p.m. beginning and ending at Merchants National Bank, 128 S. North St. in Washington Court House.

Registration will run through Friday, is $10 for all ages and includes the event t-shirt along with pizza and drink following the event. Entries must be received by the cut-off date in order to receive a t-shirt. The public can also register the day of the event. Forms may be picked up at the Hospice of Fayette County office at 222 N. Oakland Ave., or they are available online at www.hospice-fayco.org or through the Hospice of Fayette County Facebook page.

“We’ve been busy planning for the Hike and we’re looking forward to a wonderful afternoon,” said Holly Cottrill, marketing and fundraising coordinator with Hospice of Fayette County. “The weather should be great. The community and our sponsors have been really supportive to make this a successful event. We are thrilled with the number of hikers who have registered so far.”

The Hike has become a long-standing tradition around Fayette County and could not be possible without the support of the community and sponsors that help pull it together each and every year.

“We are so grateful for the support that the community and our sponsors give us. We could not do what we do without their continued love and support. Without the help of sponsors, Doug Marine Motors, Pettit’s, Merchant’s National Bank, St. Catherine’s Manor, Cargill, Quali-Tee Design, Fayette County Memorial Hospital, Bell’s Service Station and Wal-Mart Distribution Center, we could not pull this event off every year,” said Cottrill.

For more information on registration, call the Hospice of Fayette County office at 740-335-0149 or visit the website at www.hospice-fayco.org. Hike registration forms can also be picked up at the office, 222 N. Oakland Ave., Washington Court House.
