Washington Fire Department reports

The Washington Fire Department recently responded to the following:

NOV. 6

VEHICLE ACCIDENT: 11:05 a.m., Clinton Ave. – Received station tone from the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office reporting a two-vehicle accident in the intersection. FD found both vehicles upright and on all four wheels, both facing west in the west bound lane with no smoke, fire or entrapment at the time of arrival. FD checked both vehicles for safety, created a safe work zone and cleaned fluids and debris from the roadway.

NOV. 5

VEHICLE ACCIDENT: 1:31 p.m., 1208 St. Rt. 41 – Received report of an accident with a vehicle roll over. On arrival FD found a pickup truck had hit a utility pole and rolled over, however the driver was not at the scene. FD contacted DP&L for downed over line and the broken pole.

NOV. 4

ALARM ACTIVATION: 1:29 p.m., 216 N. North St. – Received report of an alarm activation. On arrival FD found maintenance employees had been on sight testing the system. The alarm was not meant to be called in. Staff is aware of the issue and taking steps to prevent further miscommunication.

ACCIDENT WITH INJURIES: 4:12 p.m., N. North Street – Received report of an accident with injuries. On Arrival FD found two vehicles involved with one minor injury. FD checked the scene for safety and assisted the squad with removing the patient.

MUTUAL AIDE: 5:14 p.m., W. Court St. – Medical assist.

MUTUAL AIDE: 6:46 p.m., Glenn Ave., Court House Manor – Medical assist.
