The Washington Fire Department recently responded to the following:

OCT. 4

VEHICLE ACCIDENT: 12:26 p.m., 1430 Columbus Ave. – Received station tone from the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office reporting a motorcycle accident. FD found a single motorcycle upright and on both wheels and the operator standing next to it at the time of arrival. FD checked the motorcycle for safety and assisted other agencies on the scene.

SEPT. 29

ALARM ACTIVATION: 11:44 a.m., 1120 High St., Belle Aire Elementary School – Received report of an alarm activation. On arrival FD found the system was inadvertently activated by school staff.
