Fayette County Memorial Hospital (FCMH) Foundation recently received a donation from the American Association of University Women (AAUW) Washington Court House branch in the amount of $275.

The AAUW funds will help launch a new community education program “Healthy University.” A partnership between Fayette County Memorial Hospital and the Fayette County Health Department, this lecture series will be bimonthly starting in May 2016 with a “Modern Mother Daughter Tea,” said Dr. Cynthia Morris, gynecologist and medical director of the Women’s Wellness Center at FCMH.

Fayette County Memorial Hospital is a critical access hospital (25-bed hospital) with over 30 healthcare providers, complete with a full spectrum of healthcare services.

AAUW has been empowering women as individuals and as a community since 1881. For more than 130 years, they have worked together as a national grassroots organization to improve the lives of millions of women and their families.
