According to reports, the Washington C.H. Police Department responded to the following calls:

July 7

Unlawful Restraint: At 5:37 a.m., officers responded to a residence in reference to a 911 hang-up. Officers made contact with a man who advised that he was held in a room against his will by Melena Marcum. Marcum was arrested and charged.

Domestic Violence: At 2:57 p.m., Brandi Culp and Tadd Taylor both came into the police department in reference to a domestic between the two. Both made claims that they were assaulted by the other. Culp and Taylor were both arrested and charged.

Theft: At 6:20 p.m., David Leech Jr. reported a theft complaint. He advised that sometime overnight, unknown persons stole three bicycles out of his back yard. A theft report was completed.

Criminal Trespass/Possession of Drugs: At 7:03 p.m., officers responded to the Commons Apartments in reference to Bradford Howard trespassing on the property where he had been banned previously. Officers located Howard on the property, at which time he was arrested, and suspected narcotics were located. Howard was arrested and the drug charges are pending.

Obstructing Official Business: At 8:55 p.m., officers observed Cody Fadely park a vehicle on the lot of the Bluestone Inn. He had an active warrant for his arrest, and as officers attempted contact, he fled on foot. After a short foot pursuit, he was arrested and charged.

Theft: At 10:06 p.m., Teresa Williams reported a theft complaint. She advised that sometime throughout the day, unknown persons stole a package from her porch. A theft report was completed.

Counterfeiting/Theft by Deception: At 10:49 p.m., officers responded to Donatos Pizza in reference to counterfeit money. Officers made contact with the complainant, who advised that pizza was delivered to Nicholas Hatfield, who paid with counterfeit money. A report was completed and charges are pending.
