The City of Washington Court House Water Department will be starting the spring flushing of fire hydrants on Monday, April 4.
The hydrant flushing will begin in the north end of town on Peabody and will continue until completed.
Hydrant flushing is done yearly to improve water quality and to keep fire hydrants in good working condition. There may be some discoloration in the water in your home during this time, but it is only temporary. The water department suggests turning faucets on and allowing water to run clear.
If you have any questions or concerns regarding the water in your home, please call the City Service Department at (740) 636-2380.
