According to reports, the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office responded to the following calls:

MARCH 3

DOMESTIC DISPUTE: Sheriff’s deputies responded to S.R 38 on reports of a domestic incident. Upon arrival all parties involved were identified and it was determined that no assault or threats of violence had occurred.

MARCH 2

THEFT: Chelsey Gordon of Jeffersonville reported someone entered her vehicle while parked at the Baymont Inn on Allen Road.

DRUG PARAPHERNALIA/POSSESSING DRUG ABUSE INSTRUMENTS/DRUG ABUSE: While responding to a theft complaint at the Baymont Inn, contact was made with the suspect and drugs, and drug paraphernalia were located inside the room. Robert Moreton of Sabina was arrested in the matter.

BREAKING AND ENTERING/THEFT: Larry Fields of Sardinia reported someone forced entry into a locked shed on Peddicord Ave and removed items from inside.

THEFT: Erwin Ross of Bowersville reported while parked at Woodbury Outfitters someone entered his vehicle and removed items from inside.

MARCH 1

TRAFFIC CRASH: Jeffery Snyder of Chillicothe was traveling eastbound on U.S. 35 near Ford Road when Snyder lost control of his tractor trailer. Snyder traveled into the median where the tractor trailer then jackknifed. No injuries were reported. The trailer sustained minor damage. Snyder was issued a citation.

FEB. 27

THEFT: The Tommy Hilfiger store reported someone entered the business and departed with merchandise without making payment.

TELEPHONE HARASSMENT: A female from Washington C.H. reported during a phone conversation with a known subject, she was threatened with physical harm.

DOMESTIC DISPUTE: Sheriff’s deputies responded to S.R 41 on reports of a domestic incident. Upon arrival all parties involved were identified and it was determined that no assault or threats of violence had occurred.

FEB. 26

TRAFFIC CRASH: Lacie Fleming of Washington C.H. was traveling east on S.R 734when a deer entered the roadway striking the right side of her vehicle. No injuries were reported. The vehicle sustained minor damage in the crash.

TRAFFIC CRASH: Paula Spencer of Orient was traveling north on S.R 207 and lost control of her vehicle. Spencer traveled off the left side of the roadway striking a culvert causing the vehicle to overturn. Spencer received no injuries from the crash. The vehicle sustained heavy damage and was towed from the scene. Spencer was cited for failure to control.

THEFT: Racheal Duncan of Leesburg reports known subject made charges to her credit card without permission. Incident is under investigation.

NEIGHBOR DISPUTE: A Jeffersonville resident reported he was involved in a verbal dispute with his neighbor.

BREAKING AND ENTERING/THEFT: Dustin E. Dhume of New Holland reported during the daytime hours someone entered his residential property and removed a trailer.

FEB. 25

LITTERING: Patsy Rolfe of Washington C.H. reported a known person dumped their refuse in her business’ dumpster without her permission. Rolfe was referred to the solicitor.

DOMESTIC DISPUTE: A Jeffersonville resident reported being involved in a verbal dispute with a known family member.

PROTECTION ORDER SERVICE: Sheriff’s deputy made contact with a respondent and served the male with the protection order. He was advised of the guidelines and the consequences of any violations of the order.

FEB. 24

TRAFFIC CRASH: Anthony Dunning of Gonzales, Texas, was traveling south on I-71. Dunning failed to observe the vehicle in front of him slowing for debris in the roadway striking the rear of the vehicle. No injuries were reported. Both vehicles sustained minor damage in the crash. Dunning was cited for Assured Clear Distance Ahead.

THEFT: Old Navy reported someone entered the business and removed property without making payment.

TAKING THE IDENTITY OF ANOTHER: Jeffery Guernsey of Jamestown reported he received a letter from the IRS advising someone had filed a fraudulent tax return using his information.

DOMESTIC VIOLENCE: Jacqueline Williams of Jeffersonville reported a family member made threats of physical harm to her. Bobbie Jo Williams of Jeffersonville was arrested and charged in the matter.

FEB. 23

DOMESTIC VIOLENCE: Ephraim J. Alltop of Bloomingburg was charged after physically assaulting a family member.

OVI: Joey M. Cupp of Washington C.H. was charged with OVI after the Sheriff’s Office received an erratic driver complaint. Cupp was located a short time after the complaint, and a traffic stop was made. At the time of the stop, Cupp was found under the influence and was taken into custody without incident.

TRAFFIC CRASH: During the early morning hours an unknown person damaged a telephone junction box at the intersection of Old Springfield Road and Washington–Waterloo Road. At the time of the report it appeared the driver was operating a tractor-trailer, and attempted to make a left hand turn onto Washington–Waterloo Rd.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF: Tisha Howe of Lessburg reported that someone threw rocks at her residence from a moving vehicle.
