Shepherd’s Club Banquet scheduled for March 30

The 80th-annual Fayette County Shepherd’s Club Banquet will be held Monday, March 30 at 6:30 p.m. in the Mahan Building at the county fairgrounds. This is the oldest active agricultural organization in Fayette County.

The menu will feature American-raised lamb, in a buffet style, provided by the Willow Restaurant.

The featured speaker for the evening is Susan Shultz. She, her husband Bill, and son Joe, operate a diversified sheep farm in Logan County. Susan is the vice president of the American Sheep Industry Association and has been an industry advocate for many years. She is retired from 35 years where she was an education coordinator and teacher for gifted students.

Tapanga Sanderson, 2019 Fayette County Lamb Queen, will speak to the group regarding her experiences and will crown the 2020 queen.

Tickets for the banquet may be purchased from any club director, secretary’s office at the fairgrounds, or Prime Meats & Deli.
