According to reports, the Washington C.H. Police Department responded to the following calls:

Feb. 27

Theft: At 1:16 p.m., officers responded to Ace Hardware in reference to a theft complaint. Contact was made with the complainant, who advised that an unknown male stole merchandise and departed the store. A theft report was completed.

Resisting Arrest: At 4:47 p.m., officers responded to the area of Family Farm and Home in reference to a suspicious male. The male, identified as Zachary Burgess, was located at Streetside 62. It was determined that he had active warrants for his arrest and when officers attempted to arrest Burgess, he resisted. He was subsequently arrested and charged.

Theft: At 6:33 p.m., Brandon Noel reported a theft complaint. He advised that between 5:30 and 6 p.m., unknown persons stole a package from his porch. A theft report was completed.

Feb. 26

Possession of Drug Paraphernalia/Drug Abuse Instrument: At 12:58 a.m., officers observed a suspicious person near the Point gas station who hid between the business and a residence. Officers located the person, identified as Shannon Noel, on the roof of the gas station. He had an outstanding warrant for his arrest and was subsequently arrested. Officers located drug paraphernalia on roof, which he was additionally charged with.

Feb. 25

Theft: At 2:26 p.m., Myron Brown reported a theft complaint that occurred a few days prior. He advised that possibly two known suspects stole items from his home. A theft report was completed.

Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle/Possession of Drugs/Drug Paraphernalia/Drug Abuse Instrument: At 2:28 p.m., David Walden reported an unauthorized use of a motor vehicle complaint. He advised that he gave Jamey Wamsley and Jayson Vilvens permission to use his vehicle on Feb. 22. They did not return the vehicle and would not return his calls. Officers located the vehicle, at which time the two offenders were arrested. Drugs and drug paraphernalia were located. Both were charged accordingly. The drug charges are pending.
