According to reports, the Washington C.H. Police Department responded to the following calls:

Feb. 16

Theft: At 10:59 a.m., Christopher Sharp was arrested after he fled from the Marathon gas station on Dayton Avenue with a three pack of 24-ounce Bud Ice beer that he did not pay for.

Possession of Drug Paraphernalia: At 4 p.m. after a traffic stop, drug paraphernalia was located in the purse belonging to Kimberly Anders. At that time, Anders was placed under arrest. A crystal-like substance believed to be methamphetamine was also located, and more charges are pending.

Inducing Panic/Criminal Trespass: At 6:21 p.m. after receiving a number of calls about a male acting erratically, entering people’s property and an active fight, officers arrested Christopher Sharp for inducing panic and criminal trespass.

Feb. 15

Theft: At 1:47 p.m., the owner of Norja Auto Sales reported that an unknown suspect(s) stole a set of keys to a vehicle on the lot.

Underage Consumption: At 10:36 p.m., officers responded to Holiday Inn, located at 101 Courthouse Parkway, in reference to a disturbance complaint and possible underage consumption. Officers arrived and located several subjects under the age of 21 who had been consuming alcohol. Tristen Cottrell was arrested and charged with underage alcohol consumption and providing a place for underage alcohol consumption to take place. Levi Barrett was arrested and charged with underage alcohol consumption. Five other juveniles were arrested and charged with underage alcohol consumption and being unruly.

Feb. 14

Theft: At 9:47 a.m., Richard Matthews reported that an unknown suspect(s) entered a vacant apartment at 340 W. Oak St. and removed property.

Theft: At 8:53 p.m., officers responded to Walmart, located at 1397 Leesburg Ave., in reference to a theft complaint. After officers arrived, Walmart Loss prevention advised that Stephen L. Wilson concealed merchandise on his person and departed the business without paying for the merchandise. Wilson was charged with theft.

Traffic Stop: At 9:25 p.m. while on patrol, an officer stopped a vehicle for a registration violation. During the stop, the driver, John Owens of Grove City, was found to be a suspended driver. Owens was also in possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia. Owens was arrested and charged with possession of drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia.
