The Washington Fire Department recently responded to the following:

FEB. 7

VEHICLE ACCIDENT: 11:23 a.m., 2000 Block of Old U.S. 35 SE – FD received a call for a vehicle in to the guardrail. FD arrived on scene and found a single vehicle that had went off the north side of roadway and into field. FD made their way to the vehicle and found a single occupant inside the vehicle. The Fayette County Life Squad attended to the occupant. FD was on stand by until the vehicle was removed by the tow company.

FEB. 5

ALARM ACTIVATION: 7:55 a.m., 99 Summit Lane – Received station tone from the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office reporting a fire alarm activation. FD was notified via radio prior to arriving on-scene to cancel, maintenance personnel advised of a false alarm.

ALARM ACTIVATION: 8:15 a.m., 1895 Lowes Blvd, Lowes Distribution Center – Dispatched to reported fire alarm activation with reference to the exterior canopy area. Upon arrival to the facility staff reported they had no fire alarm activation.

FEB. 4

VEHICLE ACCIDENT: 4:31 p.m., U.S. 35 access road – Received station tone from the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office (FCSO) reporting a two-vehicle accident involving a tractor-trailer. FD found both vehicles upright, on all four wheels and pulled off the roadway with no smoke, fire or entrapment at the time of arrival. FD checked both vehicles for safety, assisted other agencies on scene and provided traffic control until turning control of the scene over to deputes from the FCSO.
