According to reports, the Washington C.H. Police Department responded to the following calls:

Jan. 16

Wanted Person/Drug Paraphernalia: At 10:13 a.m., officers responded to the 300 block of North Hinde Street in reference to a suspicious person inside a vehicle. Officers located Mark Stone Jr. and discovered that he had active warrants for his arrest. During his arrest, officers located drug paraphernalia and he was additionally charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.

Wanted Person/Failure to Comply/Carrying Concealed Weapon/Felonious Assault on Officers: At 8:21 p.m. while on patrol, an officer stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. During the stop, officers discovered that the driver, Joseph West, had an active warrant for a parole violation. Officers attempted to take him into custody on the warrant. West then failed to comply with officers’ lawful orders to exit the vehicle and rapidly accelerated away from officers. West then used his vehicle as a weapon and struck a police vehicle with an officer occupying the vehicle. West was subsequently arrested on the outstanding warrant, felony assault on an officer, and carrying a concealed weapon.
