According to reports, the Washington C.H. Police Department responded to the following calls:

Dec. 20

Theft: At 4:09 a.m., officers responded to Walmart in reference to a shoplifting complaint. Contact was made with the complainant, who advised that an unknown male and female stole a cart full of merchandise. An investigation began.

Theft of a Motor Vehicle: At 10:15 a.m., Cherish Looker reported that her vehicle was stolen sometime overnight. The suspect was a friend she was allowing to stay with her who asked to take her vehicle to Columbus, but was not given permission. The vehicle was later recovered in Columbus.

Possession of Drugs/Drug Abuse Instrument: At 8:27 p.m., officers observed a suspicious person behind the businesses at Washington Center. Contact was made with the male, who was identified as James Trisdale. He believed he had a warrant and voluntarily gave officers suspected narcotics and drug paraphernalia. Trisdale was arrested for possessing a drug abuse instrument and the drug charges are pending.
