Josh Wilson is a Texas native who started playing piano at 9-years-old, then took up guitar and drums when he was 10. During his high school years, he continued to hone his musicianship, and eventually he fell in love with songwriting at Nashville’s Belmont University. A self-described introvert with an aversion to the spotlight, Wilson never dreamed he’d be the one behind the mic, but God had other plans.

Since signing his first record deal with Sparrow in 2006, Wilson has become a staple at radio, amassing multiple top 10 hits on Billboard’s Hot Christian Songs chart, including “Savior, Please,” “I Refuse,” “Fall Apart,” “Carry Me,” “Before the Morning,” and “That Was Then, This Is Now.” He’s toured with some of the genre’s biggest acts, including Third Day, Steven Curtis Chapman, Matthew West, Casting Crowns, and Building 429. Wilson signed his latest record deal with Black River Christian in 2017, and in 2018, released his first single, “Dream Small,” with the new label. As a multi-instrumentalist and live-looping enthusiast, he’s been known to play and record as many as 20 instruments on stage at any given time.

Joining Josh on stage Sunday night the 15th at Heritage is Jordan St Cyr, who has been nominated and won several awards and competitions including CM United Christian Artist of the Year (2018), Western Canadian Music Awards nominee (2018), Nashville Rising Star winner (2017). Most recently, Jordan was nominated for eight GMA Covenant Awards (2019) and walked away with five including Song of the Year, New Artist of the Year, Recorded Song of the Year, Male Vocalist of the Year and Pop Song of the Year, making it a very exciting start to the year and confirmation that he is doing what he has been called to do. His latest single, In My Lifetime, co-produced by Ben Calhoun (Citizen Way) and Micah Kuiper (Hawk Nelson), received international attention while winning 1st place in the Nashville-based Unsigned Only Competition in 2017.

The church opens the evening celebrating the Story of the Christ Child with a scaled down version of their annual “Journey Through Bethlehem,” however the single night/single performance drama has already sold out and walk-ins are not available, sorry! Still, the final most poignant scenes of the “Journey” will be available for those who attend the concert!

Doors open at 6:30 p.m., and the two scenes will start at 6:50 p.m., transitioning directly into the NOEL 2019 Christmas concert. Anyone arriving after 6:50 p.m. will be asked to wait in the lobby til the two scenes finish and the 7 p.m. full concert start. Also, you won’t want to miss the Heritage CHRISTMAS COOKIE BREAK Intermission! Homemade cookies by some of the county’s finest bakers!
