According to reports, the Washington C.H. Police Department responded to the following calls:

Nov. 21

Assault: At 12:38 a.m., officers responded to Walmart in reference to an assault. Officers determined from witnesses that John Shiltz II headbutted Wayne Lovely outside of the business. Lovely suffered an injury to his face and was transported to the hospital for treatment. Shiltz II was arrested and charged.

Theft of a Motor Vehicle: At 7:30 a.m., John Hardy reported that sometime overnight, unknown persons stole his work vehicle from outside of his residence. A vehicle was later recovered and returned to Hardy. An investigation was started.

Forgery: At 11:35 a.m., the Washington Court House Police Department is investigating a scam that was reported by the local US Postal Service.

Theft: At 11:37 a.m., Robert Butts II reported that unknown persons used money that he received for Walmart without his permission. A theft report was completed.

Theft/Obstructing Official Business: At 3:39 p.m., officers responded to Walmart in reference to a shoplifting complaint. Upon arrival, Walmart employees had the female offender detained. She lied to officers in reference to her identity and was in possession of marijuana. The offender was identified as Cathy Browning, who was arrested and charged.

Theft: At 4:46 p.m., Mary Johnson reported that sometime in the past few days, unknown persons stole property out of her vehicle. A theft report was completed.

Nov. 18

Obstructing Official Business/Possession of Drug Paraphernalia: At 4:05 p.m., officers responded to a reported domestic on West Oak Street. Upon arrival, contact was made at the residence with Therron Freeman. Freeman advised that the two arguing had departed the residence shortly before the officers’ arrival. The two arguing were later located inside the residence. After being arrested for obstructing official business, drug paraphernalia was located on Freeman.
