Veterans honored Friday at Commission on Aging

The Fayette County Commission on Aging held its annual Veterans Day lunch on Friday to honor those who served in the U.S. Military. Many were in attendance for the program and food.

During the program, members of the various military branches were asked to stand and be recognized. Veterans of the United States Air Force, such as those pictured here, were among the groups asked to stand.

Additionally, event organizers recognized POW’s (prisoners of war) and MIA’s (missing in action) with a table set for one. Each piece of the display was selected as a symbol for the loved ones missing these people, the bitter memories of their fate and more.
