First Midwest Supply Chain Training Academy to open at Walmart Distribution Center

The Walmart Distribution Center in Washington Court House will be home to Walmart’s second Supply Chain Training Academy – the first in the Midwest – created specifically to train the retailer’s supply chain associates.

The retailer will celebrate the first graduating class of this new academy during a ceremony on Thursday, Nov. 7 at 10:30 a.m.

The Walmart Supply Chain Training Academy in Washington Court House is patterned after the 200 Walmart Academies that train all Walmart store associates across the U.S. All Walmart Academies have a dedicated staff who provide training that sets up associates to succeed in their current role and provide a path for career growth with the company. The first Walmart Supply Chain Training Academy opened in Sanger, Texas on Sept. 27.

The Walmart Supply Chain Training Academy will celebrate its official grand opening and welcome its first graduating class. Following the ceremony, tours of the academy will be available. Academy leadership will be available for interviews.

The Walmart Distribution Center is located at 1400 Old Chillicothe Road SE.
