According to reports, the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office responded to the following calls:

FEB. 1

TRAFFIC CRASH: Davis Askew of New Holland was traveling northbound in the 1100 block of Good Hope-New Holland Road and struck a deer in the roadway. No injuries were reported. The vehicle sustained minor damage.

TRAFFIC CRASH: Tyler Vrana of Houston, Texas was traveling southbound on I-71 near mile post 68 following a vehicle operated by Harneet Saini of Cranberry Twp, Penn. Vrana struck the rear of Saini’s vehicle. No injuries were reported. Both vehicles sustained minor damage. Vrana was cited for failure to assure clear distance ahead.

SEXUAL BATTERY: Franklin County Children Services reported a complaint was made to their office of a sexual assault of a minor child that occurred in Fayette County.

THEFT: Norman Murphy of Washington C.H. reported his bank card was removed from his residence. It was later discovered that the card was used at local businesses.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT: Deputies responded to a 911 call of a male needing assistance. Upon arrival the male was located on Clyburn Avenue intoxicated. Danny Collins was arrested in the incident.

DISCHARGE OF FIREARM ON OR NEAR PROHIBITED PREMISES: Deputies were dispatched to a complaint of a male discharging a firearm on Morris Road. Upon the completion of the investigation it was determined that Darren Chaney of Leesburg was discharging a firearm while on the roadway.

ILLEGAL CONVEYANCE OF DRUGS: Deputies in the jail reported a female was arrested and transported to the Fayette County Jail. During the booking process it was discovered the female was concealing narcotics on her person. Jesse Knisley was charged in the incident.
