Southern State Community College is hosting “College Goal Sunday” 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 14, at the college’s Central Campus, 100 Hobart Drive, Hillsboro.
SSCC representatives will be on hand to assist students and parents with completing the free application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) which is required in order to receive federal financial aid, including the federal Pell Grant, federal student loans, and need-based state grants.
“The FAFSA is the key to funding college education and overcoming financial barriers that might otherwise prevent students from attending college,” said Linda Myers, SSCC Director of Financial Aid. “Studies show that students are 50 percent more likely to attend college when they complete the FAFSA.”
This free event is presented by the Ohio Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (OASFAA) and endorsed by the Ohio Board of Regents.
