According to reports, the Washington C.H. Police Department responded to the following calls:

Oct. 12

Domestic Violence: At 9:49 a.m., officers responded to a residence in reference to a domestic violence complaint. Officers made contact with a woman who advised that she was assaulted by Christopher Burson, who had departed prior to the officers’ arrival. Domestic violence charges were filed for Burson.

Theft/Complicity to Theft: At 10:54 a.m., officers responded to CVS Pharmacy in reference to a shoplifting complaint. Officers identified that James Green and Alesha Bennett stole items from the store. Charges were filed for both Green and Bennett.

Disorderly Conduct: At 12:01 p.m., officers responded to the Highland Avenue Flagway in reference to a drug overdose. Keith Lyon was located overdosed in a vehicle. He was treated and charged accordingly.

Criminal Trespassing: At 4:02 p.m., Christina Dowell reported that an unknown male was on her porch when she arrived home. The male advised he was there to see “Sarah,” who doesn’t reside at the residence. She then checked her video surveillance and observed that the male, later identified as Keith Kinzer, was inside her residence. Nothing was stolen or disturbed. The incident is being investigated.

Oct. 11

Theft of Services: At 7:16 p.m., Brooke Miller reported that she colored Cynthia Jarrell’s hair at Smart Styles Hair Salon. Jarrell was unsatisfied with the finished product and refused to pay the salon, then departed. A report was completed and referred to the city solicitor for possible charges.

Theft: At 9:48 p.m., Holly Hickey reported that she was attending the high school football game at Gardner Park and parked her vehicle at McHenry Field. Sometime during the game, unknown persons stole property out of her unlocked vehicle. A theft report was completed.

Criminal Damaging: At 10:04 p.m., Kyle Barton reported that he was attending the high school football game at Gardner Park and parked his vehicle at McHenry Field. Sometime during the game, unknown persons busted the front driver’s side window out of his vehicle. A criminal damaging report was completed.
