According to reports, the Washington C.H. Police Department responded to the following calls:
Oct. 2
Domestic Violence: At 3:50 p.m., a woman reported that she was assaulted by the father of her child, Adam Morris. The woman made a voluntary claim which was corroborated by witnesses. Morris was arrested and charged.
Theft: At 6:08 p.m., Roger Payne II reported that sometime within the past day, unknown persons stole a blue wheelbarrow out of his yard. A theft report was completed.
Theft: At 7:18 p.m., officers responded to the Dayton Avenue Flagway in reference to a disturbance. Upon arrival it was determined that Homer Smith Jr. stole a can of beer and became irate when the clerk confronted him. Smith was arrested and charged.
Criminal Damaging: At 7:12 p.m., Kirkland Wilson reported that unknown persons spray painted his and his father’s vehicle while parked at their residence. A criminal damaging report was completed.
Making False Alarm/Misuse of 911: At 11:19 p.m., officers responded to a residence in reference to a burglary in progress. It was determined that the complainant, identified as Sasha Grooms, made a false report to the police department. Grooms was later arrested and charged.
