According to reports, the Washington C.H. Police Department responded to the following calls:

Sept. 18

Theft: At 4:33 p.m., officers responded to the Dollar General in reference to a shoplifting complaint. Employees advised that an unknown female stole items and departed the store. A theft report was completed.

Theft: At 7:12 p.m., Donna Bryan reported that sometime within the past week, an unknown person entered her detached garage and stole items. A report was completed.

Assault/Aggravated Menacing/Criminal Damaging: At 7:39 p.m., Jason Jacques reported that Brandy Merritt threatened and assaulted him. He also advised that Merritt punctured one of the tires on his vehicle. Officers could not determine what happened due to conflicting statements by both involved and the investigation is ongoing.

Failure to Comply with Lawful Order/Obstructing Official Business: At 11:39 p.m., officers observed Tyler Adams riding a bicycle near the dead end of Sycamore Street. Adams had active warrants for his arrest, and when officers initiated contact with him, he fled on the bicycle and then on foot. He was apprehended after a short foot pursuit and was charged accordingly.

Sept. 17

Protection Order Violation: At 1:09 p.m., a woman reported that a current protection order against Nicholas Buckner was violated. Officers gathered the evidence, which corroborated her claim and charges were filed against Buckner.

Disorderly Conduct: At 5:34 p.m., officers responded to North Glenn Avenue in reference to a suspicious male acting very erratically. The male was identified as Jeffrey Forsythe, who was under the influence of narcotics. He was arrested and charged.

Burglary/Theft: At 7:58 p.m., officers responded to a residence in reference to a burglary in process. Officers located Blaine Bailey in the yard. He had illegally entered the residence and stole items. He was arrested and charged.

Protection Order Violation: At 8:49 p.m., officers responded to a residence in reference to a disturbance. Officers made contact with a woman and Derrick Burbridge. There is an active protection order between the two with the protected person being the woman. Burbridge was arrested and charged.
