According to reports, the Washington C.H. Police Department responded to the following calls:

Sept. 10

Obstructing Official Business/Disorderly Conduct: At 2:35 a.m. while attempting to speak with a male in reference to him crossing Court Street with traffic coming, Douglas Weatherford of Washington state attempted to flee from the officer. He was stopped after a short foot pursuit and arrested.

Protection Order Violation: At 5:09 p.m., a woman reported that she has an active protection order against Nicholas Buckner, which he violated. Officers confirmed the protection order was violated and Buckner was arrested.

Sept. 9

Theft: At 2:59 p.m., officers responded to Roosters in reference to a patron, Josh Merriman, who had failed to pay his tab before departing. A theft report was taken and the business was referred to the city solicitor for the filing of charges.

Theft: At 4:39 p.m., officers responded to Peddicord Avenue in reference to a theft that had occurred at Walmart. Julie Sayre reported that an unknown male took $20 from the self-checkout counter she was using.

Criminal Damaging: At 6:30 p.m., Rachel Graham reported that an unknown offender caused damage to her vehicle by breaking the windshield.

Domestic Violence: At 8:10 p.m., Anthony Hurles was arrested after officers responded to a Gregg Street address. Witnesses and the victim advised that Hurles struck someone in the head with an ashtray.
